Pip Value Calculator
Calculate exactly how much one pip is worth in USD for any of the 15 most-traded forex pairs. Adjust lot size and current price for live accuracy.
Per 1.0 standard lot
$10.00 / pip
For 1 lot
$10.00 / pip
Values are in USD. Results assume a USD-denominated trading account. For non-USD accounts, multiply the result by your account currency / USD rate. JPY-cross pip values use a reference USDJPY price and may differ ±5% from live brokers.
How pip value is calculated
The formula depends on which currency sits in the quote position of the pair. For USD-quoted pairs like EURUSD or GBPUSD, one pip on a standard lot is always $10 — the math is direct because the pip already settles in USD.
For USD-base pairs like USDJPY, USDCHF or USDCAD, the pip is in the quote currency and must be converted to USD by dividing by the current price. At USDJPY = 150, the pip per standard lot is roughly $6.67.
For cross-pairs like EURGBP or GBPAUD, the calculator converts through a reference rate. For gold, one pip on a standard contract (100 oz) equals $1.

Frequently asked
What is a pip in forex?
A pip is the smallest standard unit of price movement in a currency pair. For most pairs it equals 0.0001 (the fourth decimal). For JPY pairs it equals 0.01 (the second decimal). For XAU/USD most brokers use $0.01 as one pip.
How much is one pip worth on EURUSD?
For one standard lot (100,000 units) of EURUSD, one pip equals exactly $10. For 0.1 lot (10,000 units) it equals $1. For 0.01 lot (1,000 units) it equals $0.10.
Why is the pip value different on USDJPY?
USDJPY is quoted in JPY but your account is in USD. The pip is 0.01 JPY, which gets converted to USD by dividing by the current USDJPY price. At USDJPY = 150.00, one pip on one standard lot is approximately $6.67.
Is the pip value the same on every broker?
Almost. The math is identical, but contract sizes can vary slightly (some brokers use 1,000 oz mini-lots on gold, others 100 oz). Always check your broker's contract specifications.
